Howard City is small community between the rapids, Grand Rapids to the south and Big Rapids to the north.  

The Harvest Festival, held every September is a time for the community to come out and others to join in the celebration.  With games for the kids of all ages, food and a great car show… this is a family friendly event.
Many people call Howard City and Montcalm county home  with 234 lakes, 356 miles of rivers and streams, and over 100,000 acres of national forest.
